Privacy policy
This policy explains what information Vibelabs LLC ("we") collects when you use Meathead, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the shop, and we don't sell your personal information.
What we collect
- Account details: if you create an account, your name, email address and a securely hashed password (or your GitHub profile, if you sign in with GitHub).
- Order details: the items you buy, prices, your email address and the order's status.
- Payment and shipping details: collected and processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Your shipping address is stored by Stripe and used by us to fulfill your order.
- Sign-in sessions: when you're signed in, we store a session record with your IP address and browser type to keep you signed in and protect your account.
- Site usage: pages you view, time spent and how far you scroll on each page, links and buttons you click, the site that referred you, your device type, browser and country. This is tied to a random ID stored in your browser, not to your name, unless you are signed in.
How we use it
- To process and deliver your orders, and to contact you about them.
- To run your account and keep it secure.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
- To send a one-time reminder if you start checkout but don't finish, and to ask for a review after your order arrives. Every such email has an unsubscribe link; receipts and shipping updates aren't affected.
- To prevent fraud and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Reviews
If you post a review, it's shown on the product page with the name you choose and a "verified buyer" label. Ask us and we'll remove it.
Cookies and local storage
We use one cookie to keep you signed in. Your cart and the random ID used for site statistics are kept in your browser's local storage. We don't use advertising cookies or third-party trackers. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, we don't record site usage at all.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the services that run the shop for us, and only what they need:
- Stripe, to take payments and collect shipping addresses;
- our hosting and database providers, which store the site's data;
- shipping carriers, to deliver your order;
- authorities, when the law requires it.
Site-usage statistics are kept in our own database and are not shared with analytics or advertising companies.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed for accounting and tax purposes (generally seven years), account details until you ask us to delete them, and site-usage statistics for up to two years.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to close your account; email us at support@meathead.fyi. Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them. We don't sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Children
The shop is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it on this page with a new date.
